The annual Classics in the Park spectacular is inviting businesses to enjoy an exclusive preview of this year’s event.
Prosecco and canapes will be served at a special evening being put on at Hull’s DoubleTree by Hilton on Ferensway on Wednesday 6th March 2019 from 6.30pm.
The programme will include performances by two of the stunning singers already signed up – Mezzo Soprano Beth MacKay and Baritone Paul Gibson.
Broadcaster and Media Consultant Blair Jacobs, who has hosted Classics in the Park since it started in 2002, now runs the event and hopes current sponsors as well as potential sponsors will come along. He said:
“Classics in the Park is a wonderful community event for the whole family and a great opportunity for sponsors. As well as being able to enjoy a terrific evening of a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ style concert with 2000 others, it’s an ideal opportunity for corporate hospitality and to have your brand associated with a very popular and ever-growing event.”
Classics in the Park is famous for its beautiful yet popular classics, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display. You can take a picnic, enjoy some of the food on offer, bring a bottle or buy from the bar – the evening is yours to enjoy. This year’s special guest is one of the UK’s most admired tenors Jonathan Ansell, who shot to fame as part of the pop-opera group G4.
Long-term sponsor Jim Harris, Manager of St Stephen’s Shopping Centre, said:
“As proud ambassadors of Hull we are delighted to be associated with Classics in the Park. It is always an amazing event and it has been great to see it become bigger and better every year.”
Meanwhile, first-time sponsor Helen Symonds, Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton on Ferensway, said:
“We are proud to be sponsors of Classics in the Park. As a fairly new hotel in Hull we see this as a perfect opportunity to support a local event while getting our name out to even more potential guests and businesses at the same time.”
