360 Chartered Accountants is inviting teams of four to dust off their golf clubs and sign up for a Golf Day to raise funds to launch its new charity, the 360 Foundation.
The 360 Foundation is being set up to help disadvantaged children and young adults in Hull access grassroots sports.
Andy Steele, Director of Hull and East Yorkshire-based 360, said:
“Sadly, recent reports estimate that a quarter of community clubs across the country may not reopen after the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s also brought real financial difficulties for many. Some families may find themselves not being able to, for instance, buy some sports kit for their son or daughter because they rightly need the money to buy essentials. We don’t want anyone to have to drop out.
“Grassroots sports clubs play such a vital role in bringing our communities together, we want to make sure that every child has the opportunity to take part. It benefits both their physical and mental wellbeing, they learn the importance of being part of a team – and it’s a great place to meet new friends too.
“As we already have a strong history of supporting grassroots organisations in the city, it was always our plan to set up a charity. We’ve just brought those plans forward and now want local businesses to come along to help us help them.”
The Golf Day is taking place at Brough Golf Club on Friday 27th August 2021. 360 is hoping to host between 25 and 30 teams at £360 per team. There will be coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, plus a two-course meal, prize presentation and raffle.
To enter your team, please email Jono Stead at jono@360accountants.co.uk.
As well as a great networking opportunity, anyone who enters a team will be helping a child continue playing at grassroots level and/or help fund a local grassroot sports association.
