Specialist, ultrafast broadband provider Quickline Communications Limited (“Quickline”) and Northleaf Capital Partners (“Northleaf”), a global private markets investment firm, are pleased to announce the appointment of two new Board members to support Quickline’s plans to bring full fibre and all-new 5G technology to approximately 500,000 premises in rural Britain.
Mark Stansfeld and Tony Ciciretto have been appointed to the Quickline Board of Directors and together bring a wealth of experience in telecommunications, and in particular, in the roll-out of broadband services. They will work closely with the executive team led by Sean Royce, Chief Executive Officer, as Quickline looks to scale-up and expand its market-leading, gigabit-capable, next-generation hybrid network. The new 5G capabilities will be one of the first in the UK, with the start of a large-scale, full fibre roll-out to complement this in remote areas.
Mr. Stansfeld spent almost 20 years with Telefonica O2 in senior executive roles and was a co-founder of giffgaff, one of the UK’s leading mobile virtual network operators, where he was Chairman. Until recently, he was Chairman of Airband and is currently Chair of West Midlands 5G. Mark brings a strong background in commercial management and a solid track record in supporting businesses on the transition to rapid growth.
Mr. Ciciretto has over 20 years of experience in the information, technology and communications sectors and has held senior roles at a number of North American organisations, including Cogeco Peer 1, TeraGo and Bell Canada, where he previously spent over 15 years. Tony has a background in network engineering and led sales teams within Rogers Business Solutions and Bell Canada.
Paul Howard, Quickline’s Chair, said:
“I am delighted that both Tony and Mark have joined our Board. Their combined experience, knowledge and contacts will provide valued support to our senior executive team.”
Sean Royce, Chief Executive Officer, added:
“It’s great to welcome industry leaders of such a high calibre to Quickline. They will help to further strengthen our place in the market as we continue to rollout high speed internet connectivity to thousands of homes and businesses in rural areas across the North of England and beyond.”
